Including the SR2 Targa
This model is mounted directly onto the rear numberplate, and detects obstacles to the rear of the vehicle making parking safer and easier. Especially useful for longer vehicles or vehicles with restricted rear vision. As the vehicle reverses towards an obstacle, an audible warning beep increases intensity to alert the driver until a constant tone gives the indication to stop before contact.

Disclaimer. Due to the sensors being relatively close together the extremities (corners) of the vehicle may not be protected. Very low (under 10cm) and high (above 100cm) obstacles may not be detected, (depends on type of vehicle the system is fitted to). This device should be regarded as an aid to reversing manouvers. Estimating the distance from obstacles remains the sole responsibility of the driver. Fast reversing will compromise the performance. Sensors should be kept clean and free of snow and ice for optimum performance. Strong wind, rain or snow can cause inaccurate signals.
